Eric Franklin’s dedication to advocating for clients as an insurance claims attorney, and his comprehensive approach to client representation is deeply rooted in personal experiences with insurance claims. Following the challenges faced by his family after Hurricane Rita, when they discovered their insurance policy excluded coverage for downed trees—resulting in the loss of over 200 trees—Eric developed a passion for fighting against unreasonable insurers. This firsthand experience informs his tenacious approach to litigation, particularly in insurance-related cases, including business interruption, fire damage, hail, hurricane, tornado, and burst pipe claims.
While Eric also handles cases involving personal injury, defective products, accidents, and injuries, his primary focus remains on ensuring clients receive the compensation they deserve. Eric is committed to advocacy and excellence, zealously pursuing resolutions for clients and holding bad actors accountable. Eric’s legal prowess has earned him recognition in the 2024 Texas Super Lawyers list, underscoring his standing among peers in the legal community.
Eric earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Humanities from Brigham Young University, along with a Master’s in Humanities from St. Edward’s University. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
